The first time at Halleluya

Teofilo Filho went for the first time to Halleluya Festival in Fortaleza and now he shares with halleluya.org his experience which was an experience of peace and many good surprises.

Minha historia HalleluyaAn invitation and a surprise

The invitation came from my girlfriend. She called me to join her on a Friday night, but I didn’t want to go. So, she called me to go on the Saturday night and I finally decided to accept just to check out if it was good! [laughs]. When I arrived, soon I was caught by surprise when I saw the huge structure of the event and the organization at the parking area. The people at entrance received us very well, saying “welcome!” and singing with joy… So I also cheered up and decided to join the party… as I began to honk! My girlfriend thought that I was crazy! [laughs]. It was even raining! I had a feeling of security, although there were a lot of people around me… I felt like I was in my street! [laughs]

The real experience with the joy of God

The real experience I had certainly happened during the adoration moment. It gave me goose bumps all over my body! I was also surprised because of the quantity of young people, praising, worshiping… I felt that they were really glad to be there. In fact, I had heard about Halleluya event a long time, my cousin had invited me before, but I didn’t know what it was and didn’t pay much importance.

The difference between Halleluya Festival and other events that you have already attended

I think that a word sums up what I felt there: PEACE! Plenty of Peace!!! [laughs] Love is the next… And that we don’t need to get drunk to have fun, huh? [laughs] The next year I’ll certainly be there. And I’ll be better prepared too!
