Pope Francis: Interreligious dialogue can help end forms of fundamentalism
Pope Francis has urged more interreligious dialogue to help bring peace and end all forms of “fundamentalism,terrorism and irrational fears.” His appeal came in a speech to Turkey’s President Erdogan and other top political leaders on the first day of his pastoral visit to the cities of Ankara and Istanbul.  In his discourse, the Pope also stressed the importance of religious freedom, respect for human dignity and said we must never “resign ourselves” to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. The glory of God is man fully alive
From October 22nd to 23rd at Saint Anthony’s parish in Cambridge, the Shalom Catholic Community held its second annual “Fully Alive” retreat, a Life in the Spirit Seminar. Father Walter Carreiro, who was influential in bringing Shalom missionaries to the United States, generously opened Saint Anthony’s parish hall for the retreat’s use. There were over 40 registrants, an exciting increase in numbers from Shalom’s debut last year.
