The Shalom Catholic Community is organizing a new edition of the Shalom Mission Trip, a unique experience of volunteering, mission, and evangelization, which will take place from September 4 to 21, 2026, in the city of Kolkata, India, following in the footsteps of Mother Teresa of Calcutta in serving the poorest of the poor.
Applications can be submitted until November 30 by writing to missiontrip@comshalom.org or voluntariadosh@comshalom.org.

Shalom Mission Trip India aims to assist the most in need among the Indian people through specialized care, culture, and leisure, as well as living the culture of encounter, fraternal charity, and offering a concrete experience of missionary life during the 15-day activity period.
Some of the requirements that volunteers must meet include being over 18 years old, full-time availability, and a good command of English (intermediate level), among others.
The volunteer profiles needed for Shalom Mission Trip India include: social worker, pedagogue, physical educator, teacher, priest, musician, artist, journalist, photographer, and video editor, among others.
Applications will be accepted until the month of November, and selected volunteers will then participate in a customized online training program covering topics related to spiritual preparation, evangelization, mission, and cultural awareness, among others.
