The countdown to World Youth Day in Seoul has already begun. From August 3 to 8, 2027, young people from all over the world will gather in South Korea to live a unique experience of faith, communion and encounter with Christ. To make the most of each stage of this pilgrimage, some steps need to begin right now.

1. Trust in God’s Providence

Every pilgrimage begins long before departure. WYD is, above all, a spiritual experience. That is why the first step is to trust that God will guide every detail of this journey. Many pilgrims testify that what seemed impossible at the start was provided for along the way.

2. Get your passport ready

Even though the event is more than a year away, it is important to check whether your passport is valid or whether you will need to issue a new document. Taking care of this in advance avoids setbacks and lets you focus on the other preparations for the trip.

3. Book your travel package

Securing your participation as early as possible helps with financial planning and with organizing the pilgrimage. Soon, the Shalom Catholic Community will announce the official package for WYD Seoul 2027, bringing together everything needed for pilgrims to live this experience with safety, peace of mind and spiritual accompaniment.

The official packages of the Shalom Catholic Community are being calculated and finalized, and you can already join the WhatsApp group to receive the information first-hand by clicking here!

4. Have the heart of a young pilgrim

The Journey is not just an international trip. It is a call to set out on the way. Cultivating now a life of prayer, participation in the community, openness to the new and a readiness to serve helps prepare the heart for all that God wishes to accomplish during WYD.

5. Pay attention to the Community’s guidance

The Shalom Catholic Community will live WYD as a family! That is why following the announcements and directions shared throughout the preparation is essential. More than taking part in a great event, we will be called to live this experience as an expression of the Shalom charism, in unity with the whole Community spread across the world.

Seoul 2027 has already begun in the hearts of those who have decided to say “yes” to this pilgrimage. Now is the time to prepare the documents, organize the trip, strengthen the faith and walk together toward yet another World Youth Day. 🙏🏻✨
