Despite all the atrocities that occurred in Paris, France, in the early November 2015, the Archdiocese of Evry-Corbeil-Essone, only 30km away from Paris, welcomed over 300 young people from different parts of world in the CJS (click HERE) event. These Catholic youngsters wanted to be a sign of Peace to the world as they gathered there to pray, to deepen their faith and grow in unity with others.
The participants were mainly young people and some adults, all members of Shalom Community’s prayer groups in countries such as England, Canada, Italy, France, Portugal, Israel, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Spain and others. Encouraged by the voice of the Church they were true witnesses that “the powers of darkness are not stronger than the presence of God and His power, which is the power of Mercy”, as Cardinal Rylko Stanislaw in a letter to the participants recalled the words of Pope Benedict XVI.
