My first Acamps was last August. Before going I was really curious because I had heard a lot about how good it was in previous years. I wondered what could happen at a festival like this. Now I can tell you: Above all, you can have a deep and intimate experience of God’s presence! It is something that can’t be described in words- it’s something that can only be experienced and will remain with you forever.
From the moment I arrived and until I left, I could feel some kind of peaceful vibration which was such a good basis for the festival atmosphere. Slowly but surely everyone became one in service to Jesus and the Church. Although there were so many people from several countries, we overcame our differences and became united in the Holy Spirit, getting close to each other and becoming a huge family!
If I should mention only one unforgettable heartfelt moment of the Acamps Summer Festival it is when the 4 of us (dancing ministry) joyfully danced on the stage and sang about living in brotherhood and searching for the living Christ in each other. It was moments like this in which I felt that finally I had found my place, my community, my family…
Yes, these people are my brothers and sisters, not by blood, but in a deeper way – through the Holy Spirit, through the Shalom charisma!
I am really grateful for having had the opportunity to be part of the Acamps Summer Festival because it left me a lifetime of good memories, new friends from all over the world and, most importantly, a huge family!
