With a little more than a month to go to the Summer Festival, young people from various missions make the final preparations for the event. There are already more than two hundred people registered from different countries like Hungary, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Croatia and Ireland. What do these youngsters have in their suitcases?

Victor Hernandez, apostolic coordinator of the pastoral activities with the young people of the mission of Rome and Francesca Marello, responsible for the youth evangelization activities in Germany, tell us a little about the expectation for the Acamps.

Italy – Rome and Acqui Terme

“Acamps has always been a great response for the young people of our mission – says Victor Hernandez – the contact with  young people from other countries, with other cultures, with the Shalom Charism and  the proximity with the founders has generated many fruits.”

The expectation is even greater since for the first time the event will be held on Italian lands. The mission is in full swing to welcome young people from all over Europe. Among those responsible for the organization of the event are the young people who are protagonists of all this great experience. The expectation is that they will become protagonists of their missions and of the evangelization of their people.

Germany

The  publicity for the Acamps began in January, the commitment of missionaries and young people was driven by a great desire to make other people have an experience with God’s love. There are already about 15 young Germans registered for the Summer Festival.

Attractions

The bands Missionary Shalom and Reale are part of the confirmed artistic attractions. With more than 10 years of career, the Italian rock band Reale seeks to make their music a testimony to know God in a deeper way: “ours is not a crusade to convert the world to Catholicism, but to share an experience”, they state on the official website. Luce, Sono figlio di un Re , Alla porta del Cielo are the hits that young people will belt out in the days of the Summer Festival.
