The young people will also have the opportunity to participate in a “Talk” with the archbishop and Moyses Azevedo, founder of Shalom Catholic Community.
This visit is part of Shalom Community’s 35 years anniversary program. The high point of the Community’s 35 years celebrations will take place in September during Shalom Convention in Rome in the presence of Pope Francis.
Moysés Azevedo was nominated in 2011 for the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization that aims to “deepen the theological and pastoral meaning of the new evangelization by promoting in the Episcopal Conferences the study, diffusion and performance of the Pontifical Magisterium. In a special way, the Dicastery has to favor the use of modern forms of communication, to find out how they can be valid instruments of evangelization. Finally, it is incumbent on him to identify the most coherent forms for the promotion of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, as an effective
teaching for the transmission of the faith”, according to the official website of the Roman dicastery.
