The new San Lorenzo Center was inaugurated with the aim of being a beacon, a point of reference for young people from all over the world, who as pilgrims reach the heart of the Church and can have the opportunity to listen to God’s voice and receive the necessary grace to discover their vocation and mission.
In view of being an environment conducive to listening and meeting with God, in addition to the experience of being welcomed by Shalom Community missionaries and young volunteers, as well as being able to visit the cross that St. John Paul II gave to young people on the occasion of the first WYD and the icon of Mary “Salus Populi Romani”, visitors have the opportunity to stand before the Lord who loves and knows them. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed from Monday to Friday for silent adoration from 9 am to 5:30 pm; at 6.00 pm the Holy Mass is celebrated.
At the foot of the cross and before the Lord, young people have the strength to become authentic Christians who can testify to the Gospel in today’s world, this was the dream of John Paul II in inaugurating the Center. From this experience, those who arrive can approach Christ and touch him, discover the loving face of the Father.
