A remarkable moment of grace took place in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome, last Saturday evening. At the foot of the icon of Our Lady, Salus Populi Romani, entrusted by St. John Paul II to the young people, a prayerful journey has started towards the XV Ordinary Synod of Bishops on Young People(2018) and the WYD in Panama next year.
Representatives from various catholic communities and ecclesial realities took part of the meeting showing the unity of the Church gathered to respond to the Holy Father’s appeal: “Be courageous, be generous and above all be joyful”.
Following the speeches of Cardinal Rylko, the founder and general moderator of Shalom Catholic Community, Moyses Azevedo, and the testimony of the young Lorenzo de Luca, the evening ended with a strong moment of intercession and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
