Dear brothers and sisters, Shalom!
It is with great joy that we would like to announce to the whole community that the Authorities Retreat 2020 will take place in a unique and exceptional way due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be in a total of 6 days, distributed as follows: from Friday, August 21st to Sunday, August 23rd, and from Friday, August 28th, to Sunday, August 30th, from 9 AM to 5 PM (GMT-3 Brasília).
It was already our desire in the past to have as many people as possible attending the Retreat. Therefore, we present a list of over 1,000 people. In the next days, other brothers will be added to the list.
The Authorities Retreat aims to form a mentality according to the Shalom Charism, in light of what had been discerned as God’s will for the Community. It is an important instrument in order for the Community to be led according to God’s will.
Therefore, we ask each Local Responsible to promptly send this letter, the list of people invited, and all of the guidelines to the participants and to motivate them to live this time in communion. Those brothers and sisters on the list are encouraged to participate and we ask the other brethren, the precious intercession for the retreat and for the whole Community, which is favored by the graces that God wants to pour out.
To make it fruitful and to hasten the coming of the Kingdom of God, we ask the whole Community to intercede for this moment, in every Eucharist, in every adoration, in penance and fasting, so that those whom God has placed in the role of authority, may be more holy and more obedient to God’s will.
