The nun who won the Italian “The Voice”, has been confirmed to attend the Halleluya Festival 2018

Sister Cristina, who rose to fame after winning the Italian version of “The Voice”, will perform on the last day of the Halleluya Festival.

In its 22nd edition, the Halleluya Festival will present a new act to perform in Brazil. The organisers of the event have just officially announced, its newest attraction for their line up: Cristina Scuccia, known worldwide as Sister Cristina, the winner of the Italian “The Voice”.

The sister is confirmed to perform on the last day of the event, which will run on the 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of July, at the Condomínio Espiritual Uirapuru (CEU) in Fortaleza, with a free entry.

The young Italian nun surprised the world, and above all the judges of the show “The Voice”. During the show, the nun, from the Ursuline order, confirmed that she entered the programme enthusiastically because of the invitation of Pope Francis for us to bring the Gospel to all people, and with the desire to share with the world the gift God has given her to sing.

With her joviality, energy and the beauty of her voice, sister Cristina won the heart of the judges and the public and especially the young people. The video showing the opening of the competition has more than 97 million views of Youtube.

 

The new act will join the other 22 national attraction, in the main stage, including; Fr.Fábio de Melo, Rosa de Saron band, Adriana Arydes, Anjos de Resgate band, Missionário Shalom band and more. In addition to the music program, the event will hold other actives and themed spaces, such as the Electronic Tent, The Games Space, The Adventure Space, The Halleluya Lounge, The Halleluya Kids, The Mercy Space with priests available for confessions and a chapel for the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Considered as one of the most anticipated music festivals of the year, Halleluya will hold its 22nd edition in Brazil. More than one million people are expected for the 5 days of shows. 80% of the public is made up of young people.

Over two decades the event has gained popularity in and out of the country. The Halleluya Festival has been held in 5 Brazilian capitals: Salvador, São Luís, Rio de Janeiro, Aracaju, as well as in Rome – Italy and Haifa – Israel.
