The days passed and it was evident how the hearts of the young were attracted by the presence of Jesus.
With love and joy, the work of diffusion in Bogotà, Colombia, held from 17th to 19th August the first Seminar of Life in the Holy Spirit, addressed to young people, called Maranatha. In this seminar, about 60 young people had a personal experience with the Risen One through preaching, celebrating the Eucharist, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praise and, above all, fraternal experience in their free time.
The activities were carefully designed according to the reality of the participants, so that everyone could enjoy fun moments in the pool, in the common spaces of the place, a night with music and sharing around the fire and the Neon Party.
The days passed and it was evident that the hearts of young people were attracted by the presence of Jesus. Every activity, every preaching, every prayer was a new creation of God in their lives.
This experience was shared by many young people like the sixteen years old Valeria: “I always wanted to live an experience with the Holy Spirit, but I was very afraid. Now I know I can have a relationship with Him”.
“I felt I could leave my sins to start over,” shared Vitor, 19. “I have always tried to be satiated by what the world presented to me, especially alcohol, and in this seminar I had the experience and the certainty that the only person who can satisfy me is God”, shared Wendy, 27 years old, after the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday.
These and many other testimonies encourage the Bogota Work to continue to offer their lives for the evangelization of young people and to be able to say to one voice: Shalom.
