What is the Shalom Catholic Community in New York?

comshalom

The Shalom Catholic Community was founded in Brazil in 1982 and since October 22, 2021 the mission was established in Williamsburg by the invitation of Bishop Nicholas Dimarzio.

The missionaries of the local community come from Brazil, France, Mexico, and the United States. During the year they organize events such as international parties, language exchange meetings, hikes, campings, picnics, sport activities, spiritual retreats and others. These are great opportunities to make new friends, have fun and live experiences that transcend the natural world.

The main aim of Shalom Community is to lead young adults to an experience with the Risen Christ who passed through the cross by means of prayer groups, spiritual accompaniments, lectio divina, community, and others.
