Shalom Catholic Community turned 36 years old on the 9th of July. In all these years God has made a New Work in the lives of so many people through the charism Shalom. There are a lot of stories of young people who have been rescued from a senseless life to a life of happiness through the new relationship with Jesus made possible by the Shalom Community spirituality. As signs of God’s wonders, three young girls tells us what they have experienced through this fascinating vocation.
There are so many reasons to love Shalom Catholic Community! The Community makes me feel the love of God, I always pray that I may see, feel and hear God and I can do just that through the Shalom Charism.
The Community has taught me how to pray, how to appreciate and love the One who gave up His own throne for me – the One who passed through the Cross – and loved me unconditionally, without any demands or faulty.
Shalom has taught me to trust in God and His providence, and to love Christ in the Eucharist. Above all Shalom has taught me to love.

In midst of so much suffering and chaos among the youth of today, the Shalom Community is where I’ve found peace, unity and a fascinating vocation.
I love Shalom because through this beautiful community that carries so many values which the world cries out for, God has chosen to touch my heart and make me susceptible to live a life of holiness which all of us are called to live.
With the Shalom Community I learn every day what it means to be a Beloved daughter of God, helping with the Works of the Church and the Works of God, in favour of the salvation of the youth.
Being a part of the Shalom family has helped me let go of worldly things and live a life not only for myself but also for others. I am incredibly thankful to the Lord who has done all things in me, through the Shalom Community.

Through Shalom I have encountered Jesus in a new way. I am learning a new way of praying, and a new
way of living a missionary life. I am finding Jesus among the “pots and pans” of my daily life – my job, my time with my family and friends, and all of the things that I thought were ordinary and unexciting. On the outside everything might look the same, but for me everything is being made new because God is “resurrecting” every part of my life, and He is transforming me in the process.
I am learning that there are so many different ways to live a missionary life and to live the Shalom charism. Through the Shalom spirituality I am discovering the way that God has chosen for me to offer my life to Him, and to live as a missionary.
