Shalom Catholic Community missionaries led the first Life in the Spirit Seminar in Maputo. In the great capital of Mozambique, 30 young people gathered to live the experience of immersing themselves in the love of God through the powerful action of the Holy Spirit. On October 21 and 22, at the Shalom Evangelization Center, young people, led by the missionaries of the Community, experienced, through preaching, moments of prayer and fraternity, that God is alive and capable of making all things new.
According to the missionary João Patriolino, who is responsible for the new Shalom mission in Maputo. The young people had an experience with the person of Jesus, who brought them to experience the truth of who they are in the eyes of God.
“I think it was a salutary, spiritual and anthropological shock. We saw young people thirsting for God, desirous of the truth, and this makes grow in us, missionaries, the desire to offer our lives even more in view of the Mozambican people so loved by God!”
