The Founder of the Shalom Catholic Community will be at the event, where, together with other representatives of the Church from around the world and Pope Francis, will be able to reaffirm that Jesus is in our midst and makes himself present in the Eucharist, giving us strength, hope and joy to this new time.

Once again held online, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Retreat aimed at Community leaders will have the presence of more than 1600 missionaries spread across over 30 countries.

The “Alive in Christ” prayer groups were selected to be used for a research survey about Christianity and its online religious practices, especially during pandemic time. The project was led and developed by a group of Cultural and Sociological Anthropology students from Leiden University, in the Netherlands.
