“How I wish that we could join together in a chorus of prayer, from the depths of our hearts, to implore the Lord to have mercy on us and on the whole world!” We want to answer this call of Pope Francis, explained in the Message for the XXXI World Youth Day, and pray for Divine Mercy.

On February 1 the campaign #prayformercy has been launched! Krakow is called the land of the Divine Mercy and WYD’s social media is a great opportunity to promote the devotion to Mercy. Jesus said to Sister Faustina: “My daughter, encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet” (Diary of St. Faustina 1540).

The faithful around the world are invited to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Every week will have a particular intention. The first week of each month the intention will be for the Holy Father, and for other intentions over the following weeks. There will also be a quote from the Patrons Saints of WYD Krakow, St. Faustina and St. John Paul II, connected with the week’s intention.

At the WYD Committee we are praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy every day. Each of you will be able to join in this prayer via social media. Each day of the week, we will pray the chaplet in the language of the day, with parts of the prayer in other languages led by international volunteers. It will be streamed on periscope:

– Monday: Polish

– Tuesday: Portuguese

– Wednesday: English

– Thursday: Spanish

– Friday: Italian

*The broadcast will start at 15:00 (UTC+1).
