Testimonies of transformation from Dublin at Acamps Summer Festival 2025 in Italy

Between July 25th and August 1st, 2025, members of our Shalom prayer group from Dublin lived a profound and unforgettable experience during our pilgrimage to Italy.

From the Acamps Summer Festival in Ferrara (July 25–28) to the Jubilee of the Youth in Rome (July 28–August 1), these days were marked by joy, worship, service, and a powerful sense of communion with God and one another.

At Acamps, hundreds of young people from all over the world in a vibrant and Spirit-filled atmosphere joined the event. It was a time of grace, healing, laughter, and deep encounters with Christ. As Janka beautifully shared: “I truly believe we received graces far greater than we could have imagined—and I know that many of the fruits will show up in our lives later, maybe when we least expect them.”

Every hug, word of encouragement, and act of kindness created a space where we could be restored and renewed. After going through personal struggles, many of us felt strengthened and reminded that we are not alone—God walks with us, and He has placed us in a community that reflects His love.

May also expressed this reality in her own words: “Even though many were dealing with pressure, stress, anxiety and personal battles, everyone was so good and made this experience so enjoyable and remarkable.” She also gave special thanks to the music ministry, who served with excellence and humility, helping everyone lift their hearts to God.

In Rome, at the Jubilee of the Youth, our group was once again invited to serve through music. Standing on stage before hundreds of young people from many nations, Janka, Wanderson, May and others offered their voices and hearts in worship, reflecting the joy and boldness of those who live for Christ. It was not simply a performance—it was a prayer, a mission, a moment of encounter.

Wanderson shared his experience: “Even with all the battles, He never abandons us for a second. Thank you for each one of you, for your offerings at these events and for so wonderfully reflecting the face of Christ to all those who experienced this joy that comes from God with us!”

“This pilgrimage was also a strong reminder of 1 Corinthians 12:14–26, where every part of the Body is essential. Each person brought something unique, and the journey would not have been the same without them. Together, we lived a small taste of heaven—united in worship, mission, and fraternity” added.

For Janka, this experience was unforgettable: “Now that we’re back to our daily routines, let’s stay united in prayer. Let’s ask the Lord to keep everything we received alive in our hearts, even when things get tough. The memories, the friendships, the graces—we may not see all the fruits right away, but I truly believe that so much was planted deep inside us. And when we least expect it, those seeds will grow and bear fruit in ways we can’t even imagine.”
