The next Shalom Community foundation in Poland, in Warsaw
Representatives from Shalom International Assistance and the responsible of Shalom mission in Krakow, Michele Magalhães, are visiting Warsaw – capital of Poland- in order to attend some meetings preparing for the next Shalom Community foundation in the country. On March 2, Shalom members met with the city’s archbishop, Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, in order to define in more detail the missionary collaboration between the Archdiocese of Warsaw and the Community. Shalom Carnival Retreat in Bolivia: a 180 ° turn around
It was at an altitude of 416 meters, 20km from the most important and populous city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from February 25 to 28, the 180 Degree Retreat (180 °) was held, organized by the mission of Shalom Catholic Community whom is in the city since two years, with 4 missionaries from the Community of Life and one from Covenant one. Shalom offers course on Culture to missionaries who will go on mission to many different countries
The Missionary Advisory, a division within Shalom Catholic Community, is offering during the month of May, 2016, a course called “Mission & Culture”. The course is being held at the General Government of the Community in Aquiraz city, Brazil. About 30 missionaries of Life Community who are about to be sent on mission to 15 countries are participating in this training course. The goal is to contribute to the preparation of missionaries in order for them to better live the process of meeting with other people from different cultures; to minimize the impact of cultural shock; and to maximize fellowship opportunities among cultures.
