Shalom Community in London participates in CHARIS General Assembly
This September, the Shalom Catholic Community UK attended the first CHARIS England and Wales General Assembly, on a two-day retreat with Communion as a main subject. Filled with moments of praise and worship, sharing and talks about the central theme, the encounter can be described as a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the Charismatic Community in England and Wales. During the moments of sharing, the members of different Communities and Expressions could talk about the joys and challenges of spreading the Gospel in this land. What is a charismatic life?
More than belonging to a movement, being charismatic consists in exercising the charisms in their fullness, without the Spirit of division or boasting. They must be used to build up the Church of Christ, so that all peoples may know the Truth and turn entirely to the Lord.

My name is Vicente Tomaz, I’m 38 years old and I’m from São Paulo. I belong to a Catholic family, who raised me in the faith. At age 16, I experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) group.
