SYC: “it was visible to me the offer of each brother who gave the best of themselves for young people”

Seminarian and member of the Shalom Community in mission in Switzerland “The Shalom Youth Congress was, for me, a great experience of friendship, communion and gift of life. According to organize the event, it was visible to me the offer of each brother who gave the best of themselves for young people. At the same time, we recognize that, although coming from different countries and cultures, we had the same heart, with one goal, to transmit them to every young mind the same personal experience with Jesus Christ Risen. Everything was perfect, I am very grateful to God for the charism Shalom that surprises us and makes us more and more one with God. Shalom!”

SYC: “unique opportunity to live together with many brothers a strong moment of prayer, praise, reflection on our lives”

My name is Francesco and I come from the mission of Acqui Terme, in northern Italy. I am very happy of this Congress because it was a unique opportunity to live together with many brothers a strong moment of prayer, praise, reflection on our lives. I think of two sentences of Moyses: “The secret of happiness is not to live for themselves, “and” Do not fall into the temptation of wanting to walk alone”. There, these words, now that I’m back in my apartment for a student, I fill the awareness and the desire to belong to this people of God, he loved and opted for a life of service in this charism, in prayer, unity and evangelization. I thank the Lord for this beautiful gift that ...

Shalom missionary in London to have first consecration in Celibacy

For the first time the Shalom Community in London will held a consecration in Celibacy for the Kingdom of Heaven of one of its missionary members. It is a special time of graces for the Mission.  Inspired by the diversity and unity within the Holy trinity, the Shalom Catholic Coomunity, established in 1982, is formed by all three ways of life: married couples, priests and celibate people. Each way of life (or form of life) lives its own identity and also the complementarity with the others. Thus, the Community is a family and it mirrors the Trinitarian Life. Celibacy for the Kingdom of Heaven is one of these ways of life. It is a call to consecrate one’s life entirely in the hands of God ...
