Shalom Community in the opening concert of the week of missions in Warsaw
‘FAITH. HOPE. CHARITY ‘was the theme of the great and joyful concert that Warsaw has prepared to welcome the participants of the week of missions in the parishes. This great artistic concert took place on the evening of Thursday 21, at 7.30pm, local time, on Piłsudskiego Square. A crowd of tens of thousands of young people from around the world attended the event, including the young pilgrims of the Shalom Catholic Community,  in addition to residents of Warsaw and nearby regions. More than 200 artists from around the world and from Poland presented in the multi-platform stage designed specifically for this event. Shalom Community in the Week of Missions in Poland
The Week of missions up to one week before WYD is known also as “Days in the diocese”. It is catechetical sessions held in the host and in nearby dioceses. It began in the edition of Paris in 1997 as a proposal to involve all french people in World Youth Day.  In the opportunity the Church of France promoted several meetings in order to find the best way to evangelize the youth of French with the young people who came from all over the world for Youth Day. Shalom Catholic Community comes to Krakow for the final preparations for WYD
Last July 5, a group of missionaries of the Shalom Catholic Community arrived in Krakow, Poland, in order to concentrate on the final preparations for the activities of Shalom Community at the next World Youth Day. Among these activities is the HalleluyaKrakow. Under the coordination of Shalom International Assistance, the working group is formed by young missionaries of Shalom Community from Italy, France, Germany, Poland and Brazil. About 1,000 young participants of Shalom groups, coming from 20 different countries will be arriving in Krakow this July to participate in the big meeting of Pope Francis with young people from around the world. Halleluya Festival, an integrated arts festival that has over 20 years, will be part of the official program of WYD, in Krakow, Poland. The organizers have partially released its artistical programme. The first three bands are Brazilians and will be performing during the days 27 to 29 July, at Szczepanski Square, with attractions held in many languages such as English, Polish, French, Spanish and Italian. Halleluya Festival: the celebration of mercy in the land of Mercy
Halleluya Festival is known as the biggest integrated arts festival in Brazil, leading young people to have an experience with God through arts, sports, courses and Eucharistic celebrations. Shalom offers course on Culture to missionaries who will go on mission to many different countries
The Missionary Advisory, a division within Shalom Catholic Community, is offering during the month of May, 2016, a course called “Mission & Culture”. The course is being held at the General Government of the Community in Aquiraz city, Brazil. About 30 missionaries of Life Community who are about to be sent on mission to 15 countries are participating in this training course. The goal is to contribute to the preparation of missionaries in order for them to better live the process of meeting with other people from different cultures; to minimize the impact of cultural shock; and to maximize fellowship opportunities among cultures. Halleluya Festival of Integrated Arts is on its 3rd edition at WYD
The year 2016 sets the third edition of Halleluya Festival of Integrated Arts at World Youth Day. Halleluya event started at WYD in Madrid (2011) then in Rio de Janeiro (2013). This year it will be hosted for the first time in Krakow, Poland, from the 27 th to 29 th of July, at Szczepanski Square.
