The school of Peace

The School of Peace is a project of the Shalom Catholic Community whose mission is to educate and form hearts for peace through an integral training process that will offer professional and technical training courses, as well as artistic and sports training for children and young people in situation of social vulnerability. It is a space where through  meeting volunteers and people in vulnerable situations a new culture created collectively, with peace as the main foundation. In the last week (from 3rd to 8th April), Father Cristiano Pinheiro, the International Assistant of  Shalom Catholic Community, has been in Taiwan, Asia, for a visit to the dioceses of Hsinchu, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Chiayi, Tainan and Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. Shalom Expedition Program brought joy and help to a remote location in Madagascar

On Saturday 17th of March, the city of Antsiranana, a remote location in the far north of Madagascar, lived a day of great joy at Shalom Evangelization Center where the volunteers of Shalom Expedition Program could provide medical care, cooking classes,  physical activities and personal hygiene education for adults and children. Benefactors from Brazil supported the mission through donations of oral hygiene care kits, educational materials, food, clothes and shoes to the most needy. Furthermore, 50 bibles in Malagasy dialect which is considered the national language of Madagascar were delivered, and also medicines and hospital supplies. Third meeting on the way to the Synod 2018 guided by the Blessed Virgin Mary

On the threshold of the pre-Synodal meeting that will be held in Rome from  19th to 24th of  March when young people from all over the world will be gathered to give their contribution to the next Synod of bishops, in the Basilica of st Mary Major (Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore) young people are gathered to pray and to listen to spiritual formation in order to prepare themselves to be active contributors of the Synod 2018 and in preparation for the next World Youth Day.
