SH82: the first Evangelization Center in Rome
The Shalom Catholic Community is ready to inaugurate, December 13 at 9 pm, its first Evangelization Center in Rome, in Via degli Equi 10, in the district of San Lorenzo, a short walk from Termini and the University “La Sapienza”. The SH82 – the name of the place, which contains the initials of our Community and its date of birth – is about to open its doors. A welcoming place, sparkling, colorful, where boys and girls entering it feel at home. This is exactly how it was thought: a familiar, youthful, bright place, where especially young people, students, university students, can find a place made for them. Christus vivit, I chose to be consecrated
One year after the Synod on young people, Catholic youth from around the world engage with "Christus vivit", Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation. "It's a huge call before a small, grateful response". This is how Barbara, missionary of the Shalom Catholic Community, describes her own vocation: not one of a woman religious, but of a young lay missionary who chose to bear witness to God by giving herself to Him. The Pope writes: Jesus always casts out the nets.

Shalom volunteers provide humanitarian assistance and help bring eternal life to the people in Madagascar
“Soon after we arrived on Saturday in the early afternoon, we were approached by a distressed father looking for Shalom volunteer doctors because his newborn baby was in the hospital suffering from several life-threatening conditions,” said Jeovana Freitas, the Community’s Councilor for Human Promotion.
