Shalom mission in Warsaw completes one year of activities
As a result of WYD 2016, the Shalom mission in Warsaw is marked by the presence of young people. Five missionaries from the Community of Life carry out evangelization activities while learning the language and culture of St. John Paul II.
Shalom in WYD: evangelization and mission
The World Youth Day (WYD) is a triennial event that brings together the Pope and young Christian Catholics from around the world in a festive, religious and cultural atmosphere. All the people who attend will experience the person of Jesus Christ, his Word and the Church which calls them to promote, through the youth, peace, unity and brotherhood of people and nations. This edition of the WYD has as its theme: “Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it to me according to thy word” (Lk 1:38), and will take place from 22nd to 27th January 2019 in Panama City. New deacons, new seminarians: a gift for the Church and for humanity
This year Shalom Catholic Community rejoices with nine members that will receive the gift of diaconal ordination and with nine members who start into the formation path in view of the priesthood as new seminarians. Now there are already 92 seminarians within the Community on the way for the priestly vocation. According with our Statutes among the brothers called to celibacy for the kingdom, the Lord awakens vocations to the priesthood as Life and Covenant Community and also seminarians, deacons and diocesan priests who feel the calling of the Lord to become shalom missionaries are welcomed to be part of our family.
